Overview
Wondershare is a global software company headquartered in Shenzhen, known for its creative and productivity tools across video editing, PDF solutions, data recovery, and AI-powered content.
As a Senior Designer & Marketing Creative, I led major design initiatives, driving interface reskins and full-scale rebrands that transformed legacy applications into modern, cohesive product experiences. I partnered cross-functionally to deliver product-adjacent UX improvements and created in-app marketing assets and high-converting landing pages that aligned user experience with business growth.
MobileGo — UX & Brand Transformation
MobileGo (later merged into another Wondershare product) was a mobile optimization application designed to improve device performance, organize files, clear cache/memory, and resolve system issues across Android and iOS.
When I joined the project, the core UX foundation had already been established in a lower-fidelity beta format — but the product lacked a cohesive brand identity. The opportunity was to elevate the visual experience, strengthen the product’s market presence, and bring polish and clarity to both the interface and marketing touchpoints.
My Approach
1. Discovery & Foundation Review
Although the initial discovery phase had been completed prior to my involvement, I conducted a full audit of the existing work to ensure alignment and identify opportunities for refinement.
- Reviewed case studies, personas, and user journey documentation
- Analyzed interaction architecture and previously validated decisions
- Evaluated user behavior insights collected through Gainsight
- Identified key pain points and usability considerations
This step was critical in allowing me to design with context — understanding not just what decisions were made, but why.
2. Brand Development
With no established brand, I led the visual identity direction for MobileGo from the ground up.
Brand Goals:
- Communicate security and trust
- Emphasize simplicity and efficiency
- Convey motion and continuous optimization
- Maintain a professional, business-ready feel
I developed a concept centered around a full-circle experience — positioning MobileGo as a one-stop solution for mobile device management. The boomerang-inspired visual metaphor reinforced the idea that anything stored or managed through the app remains recoverable and secure.
Color strategy played a key role. A blue-forward palette supported:
- Corporate credibility
- Technical reliability
- Cross-platform familiarity
The result was a cohesive identity that aligned the product with user expectations around performance and security.
3. Product Landing Pages
Beyond the product UI, I established a scalable design pattern for Wondershare’s product landing pages — a system later reused across additional products.
Landing Page Framework:
- Large, high-impact hero headers
- Clear, benefit-driven headlines
- Concise, value-focused messaging
- Supporting visuals (product imagery, videos, infographics)
- Strong, conversion-focused CTAs
- Clear platform download pathways (Android & iOS)
Once finalized, I delivered detailed design specifications to the China-based development team and collaborated weekly to ensure implementation accuracy ahead of launch.
4. UI System & Implementation
I evolved the beta interface into a clean, brand-aligned UI supported by:
- Reusable components
- Scalable interaction patterns
- Consistent visual hierarchy
- Clear feedback states and system messaging
During handoff, I worked closely with engineering to preserve UX integrity throughout implementation, ensuring that design intent translated accurately into the final shipped product. This project strengthened my ability to step into an existing product, align with prior research, and elevate both brand and user experience at scale.
